We are pleased to announce that Gazprom Marketing & Trading Limited a 100% owned subsidiary of SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (hereinafter: “SEFE GmbH”), has formally changed name to SEFE Marketing & Trading Limited.
This change is another step in our journey to reposition SEFE Marketing & Trading Limited in European and global energy markets.
We confidently continue our process of reinvigorating our traditional business areas as well as of pursuing new opportunities of the energy transition thus, aligning our business model to the new energy landscape in Europe.
On 13 July 2022, Dr Egbert Laege was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEFE Marketing & Trading Limited and SEFE Energy Limited and will play a crucial role in the strategic management of the Company.
On 14 June 2022 SEFE Group obtained a KfW loan in the amount of Euro 9.8bn demonstrating the comprehensive financial support of the SEFE Group by the German government. Furthermore, the German Federal Government decided to extend the fiduciary management of SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH beyond September 2022 and in the long-term.
On 3 June 2022, Dr Egbert Laege was appointed Managing Director of SEFE GmbH. Prior to this role, he served as General Representative of the trusteeship by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) for the SEFE Group, established on 4 April 2022.
As part of the SEFE Group, we believe these major developments now give our clients, counterparties and other stakeholders the full reassurance they have been looking for in terms of our financial security and future reliability as a commercial partner.
