As part of the Portfolio team, the key task of the Portfolio Analyst is the operational day-to-day management and implementation of the CCO Operating Plan specifically for the Trading IT organisation in addition to supporting the Portfolio Manager.

 

What You Will Do
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating quarterly planning and prioritisation cycles, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic objectives. You’ll play a key part in facilitating structured planning sessions, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving the execution of priority initiatives.

You’ll oversee annual planning processes and manage within-year investment reprioritisation. This will involve evaluating ongoing projects, assessing resource allocation, and making data-driven recommendations to optimise investments and maximise returns.

• Monitoring and reporting programme and project portfolio performance as well as benefits realisation
• Working with KPI owners to compile Trading IT delivery performance reports
• Confident verbal and written communications skills; the ability to shape others understanding in ways that capture interest, inform and gain support
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork; skilled at building productive working relationships across a business (Front, Middle and Back offices)
• Strong analytical skills
• Flexibility – demonstrate sensitivity to the changing business needs

 

What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will have a background in end-to-end autonomous project management and/or business analysis, particularly from Commodity Operations, Trading, Risk, and Origination. Previous experience as a Portfolio Analyst or in a similar role with equivalent responsibilities would be highly beneficial.

Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, is essential for success in this role. Additionally, experience in the energy sector is desirable, particularly with tools such as TFS or an equivalent toolset for capturing requirements and managing prioritisation effectively.

• Experience of working with a diverse and demanding client group
• Worked in a high pace, commercially driven organisation
• Have a proven track record of delivering through others
• Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification or equivalent professional desirable
