An exciting opportunity to join our Enterprise & Operational Risk team in Manchester

IN SHORT

We are looking for an Operational Risk Analyst to join the Enterprise & Operational risk team in Manchester. As an energy company operating across the end-to-end energy value chain, it is critical that we have robust risk management policies and processes in place.

The Enterprise & Operational Risk team support SEFE Energy in proactively identifying, reporting, analysing, and controlling operational risks across the business. In this role you’ll play a crucial part in managing and monitoring risks, both commercial and operational, across multiple products within the energy sales sector. You will also contribute to our incident management program, providing a first-class service for our stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Working as part of a global team you will be hands on in managing the incident management programme. This will include investigating issues raised, making recommendations to mitigate future re-occurrence, and following up with the necessary system administration. You will analyse data to enable accurate reporting and understanding of issues across the business.

You will also contribute to the production of operational risk content and materials as required and support with the administration of SEFE’s Business Continuity Programme.

With a focus on embedding a culture of continuous improvement this is a great opportunity to contribute to how we manage and mitigate risk across the business through the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), with scope for continued professional development.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Proven operational risk experience within the energy, financial or the retail sector
  • A degree level qualification in a numerical subject, or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders in a clear, concise and insightful manner
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong MS Office skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI (desirable) and provne experience manipulating and presenting data
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Concern for accuracy combined with a detail oriented approach
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities can change at sometimes short notice
