This opportunity is in the well-regarded LNG Middle Office team based in Singapore.
As a crucial member of our LNG Middle Office team, you will be responsible for daily economic valuation, exposure, and attribution reporting of all open exposure, as well as monthly IFRS-compliant reporting for the LNG Trading desk. You will support the Team Lead in ensuring the operational readiness of new products, and drive continuous improvements to Middle Office processes. Your ability to independently develop analysis tools and reports, conduct valuation and exposure analysis on new structured transactions, and identify gaps within the control suite will be key to your success. Additionally, you will ensure transparency and accountability for control failures within the DLC, implementing measures to maintain the function as a center of excellence.
What you will do?
- Reporting & Control: Daily P&L reporting, exposure reporting and full attribution of any daily changes.
- Monthly IFRS compliant revaluations, and full explanation and understanding of any valuation differences.
- Ensure full understanding of the rationale behind all open positions held by the LNG desk.
- Support the monthly LNG IPV processes.
- Support the LNG desk monthly reporting processes.
What you’ll bring to the role?
- Prior experience in a Middle Office role and environment dealing with reporting, P&L attribution and controls development.
- Good understanding of the energy commodity market, with prior expertise in one or more physical asset in this list is preferred; LNG, Oil, LPG, Metals or Natural Gas
- Experience of non-linear products is not essential but is useful.
- Excellent Excel skills; experience in VBA/SQL or any other programming language is a preferential.
- Prior experience of Openlink Endur ETRM system is preferred.
- Prior experience with Veson IMOS is advantageous but not essential.
