We are looking for a Senior IT Auditor to join the group internal audit team.

IN SHORT

We are looking for a Senior IT Auditor to join the group internal audit team. Based in our Manchester office you will work alongside our Audit Manager and initially support IT audit activity within SEFE Energy, with the opportunity to grow your knowledge and support the broader audit plan across all business areas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In the role of Senior IT Auditor you will proactively manage end to end audit activities across business areas, with an initial focus on risk-based IT auditing.

Leveraging data analytics will be key to identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies that enhance risk assessments, control evaluations, and aid audit decision-making. By utilising comprehensive data analysis, you will aim to provide full coverage of entire data populations, eliminating the limitations of sample testing.

This approach will support continuous auditing and monitoring, enabling real-time data collection to proactively flag issues and mitigate potential risks.

You will prepare clear and concise audit reports providing actionable insights to facilitate decision-making and enhance governance, and agree audit recommendations with stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Experience in internal or external audit, or a closely related field
  • Experience with auditing technology controls (ITGC, applications, infrastructure) and an understanding of emerging technology (e.g., Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)
  • High degree of competence with Excel, combined with basic knowledge of SQL, and a scripting language
  • Bachelor’s degree (or related financial experience) in Technology, Mathematics, Finance, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to challenging deadlines
