In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the internal audit team and external service providers by efficiently managing stakeholders, addressing audit queries, and ensuring timely responses. This includes scheduling meetings as needed and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Additionally, you will support the timely and high-quality delivery of internal audits and ad-hoc tasks, with a focus on identifying risks, assessing controls, and recommending effective actions to address any identified control gaps.
What you will do?
- Support preparation of the internal audit deliverables to the senior management and Audit and Finance Committees, including periodical reports, Audit plan
- Support the internal audit team and external service provider with managing stakeholders, including audit queries and timely receipt of responses, scheduling meetings, where required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the key stakeholders
- Support the delivery of internal audits and ad-hoc tasks in timely and high-quality manner. Identify risks and assess controls recommending effective actions to address control gaps
- Track and verify the quality of implementation of audit actions
What you’ll bring to the role?
- Experience in internal or external audit, or a closely related field like risk management, finance, or compliance
- Stakeholder management experience
- Project management skills
- Strong analytical thinking, good conceptual and problem-solving skills, particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change
