French Power Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

We have a newly created opportunity for a Business Development Manager to lead the strategic execution and operational set up of a new retail business unit focused on supplying power in France. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with expertise in the power industry who can leverage their knowledge to navigate regulatory challenges, ensure compliance, and drive the growth and success of the power business in France.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing SEFE Energy’s presence in the French power market, contributing to the company’s long term strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role you will
- Drive the successful execution of the strategic plan to launch the new retail power business unit in France, ensuring that all initiatives are in alignment with the broader objectives of the company.
- Lead the creation and development of the necessary operational infrastructure, including supply chain, customer service, and IT systems, to ensure the business is fully equipped to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Develop new origination ideas based on market developments and client interactions.
- Own the development of products and services which customers value.
- Expand and strengthen SEFE Energy’s route to market opportunities.
- Increase awareness for of SEFE Energy’s reputation for customer service and product flexibility.
- Expand awareness of competitor activity within the Clean Energy & Power market.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You will ideally bring proven knowledge of the power industry, particularly withing the French market, including market dynamics, the regulatory environment, and competitive landscape. You will demonstrate the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
You will also demonstrate
- Experience in leading large-scale projects, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Skill in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including experience in structuring deals such as PPAs and other innovative energy solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Strong business acumen coupled with entrepreneurial flair and energy; able to cope in dynamic environment with rapid business growth.
- Excellent team player with willingness to collaborate and share expertise across SEFE
- Fluency in French and English, with strong business communication skills in both languages.
