The Developer has multiple responsibilities within the organization. Their time is focused primarily on software delivery responsibilities. These Software delivery responsibilities will vary over time but are focused on the development of applications and processes that ultimately enable and support the trade lifecycle. It is expected that a Developer will work on a portfolio of different software products and technology stacks during their time in the organisation and will while continuing to grow and improve their knowledge and skills for their career.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, test-driven object-oriented software. You will collaborate closely with the Vertical Leads, including Delivery, Technical, QA, Architecture, and Functional teams, to ensure the alignment of work delivery with agreed timelines and business objectives. You will liaise with and provide support to business analysts and key stakeholders from across the end user community.
• Work with the Technical and Architecture leads to support the technical engineering and delivery of a portfolio of applications and ensure that work adheres to standards and best practices
• Understand the technical needs/dependencies with other applications/teams and manage these with the Lead Developers and Architects to ensure the correct technical solutions are implemented
• Strive for architecture and design consistency and liaise with the Technical and Architecture leads to help influence these principles.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that consistent and adequate code reviews are performed by the whole team
• Work with the Vertical Tech Lead and Architects to identify, minimise and address technical debt.

You possess excellent interpersonal skills, which allows you to hold and direct conversations with non-technical members of the organisation effectively. This skill ensures smooth communication and collaboration across different departments, contributing to the overall success of the projects you’re involved in.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID principles
• Microsoft .NET, C#, WebAPI is required, and OAuth2 would be an advantage
• Experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server or similar) is required, and MongoDB would be an advantage
• Experience of continuous integration and deployment, Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of a messaging patterns is required, and experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka would be an advantage
• Experience with Azure Platform development including IaC using terraform would be an advantage
• Enterprise Developer experience on complex projects with C# .Net and a web UI framework i.e., Vue, Angular, Blazor, etc.
• Experience within a trading or data intensive organization would be an advantage e.g., commodities, financial, betting etc.
